2. Legal Grounds for Use of Cookies

Essential cookies: The personal data collected through essential cookies is processed based on the following legal grounds:

EEA:

• The legal basis for the storage of and access to information on your end user device for us to be able to provide the digital service expressly requested by you is Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, as transposed into local law (e.g., in Germany, Sec. 25 (2) No. 2 German Digital Services Data Protection Act (Telekommunikation-Digitale-Dienste-Datenschutz-Gesetz "TDDDG")).
• The further processing of personal data collected through the use of essential cookies is contract performance (Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR) (if we concluded a contract with you) or legitimate interests of us or third parties (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR), such as the provision of a functioning website. UK:

• It is necessary for us to perform a contract with you or take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract per Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation; or
• It is necessary for us to realize a legitimate interest based on an assessment of that interest and your privacy and other fundamental interests per Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

South Korea:

• It is necessary for us to perform a contract with you or take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract per Article 15(1)(iv) of the Personal Information Protection Act; or
• It is necessary for us to realize a legitimate interest, where such interest clearly takes precedence over your rights, provided that the processing is substantially relevant to our legitimate interest and does not exceed a reasonable scope, per Article 15(1)(vi) of the Personal Information Protection Act.

3. How can you manage cookies?
